Carlei Wines (Various) - The winemaker Sergio Carlei is clearly very passionate about his wines. I also review the Carlei 2004 Pinot Noir in the previous post on the Pinot Tutorial and there will be a note on their Heathcote Shiraz when I post about that tutorial.

“Single Vineyard” Chardonnay 2003 - Some nice hints of spice and minerality. Well balanced, with smart oak use providing structure. Texture on the palate is good. Should age well over the next 3 or so years. 89/100

Chardonnay 2004 - Some flinty minerals like above, perhaps just not as much texture or complexity. Clean, crisp, fresh finish. 88/100

“Tre Bianchi” 2004 - As the name indicates, a blend of three white varieties - Sauvignon Blanc, Semillon and Chardonnay. Fairly intense palate. 87/100

Pinot Gris 2004 - Gooseberry and spices but not very exciting. 85/100
